ROSE CAMERON
Rose launched her own company, Rose Cameron Rides in 2022, specialising in riding adventures that follow in the footsteps of a historical story. Rose was 14 when she went on her first ride abroad, to South Africa, to ride over the battlefields of the Boer War and Zulu War. This made such an impression that she returned to Rorke's Drift to work on a year out. Since then, Rose has ridden along the routes of some fascinating stories in countries as diverse as Ethiopia, Jordan, France, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Oman, Belgium, Bulgaria and India.
Rose is now running her own rides in the western Pyrenees, following the route taken by the Duke of Wellington at the end of the Peninsular War, and in Jordan, following Lawrence of Arabia during WW1. The history is not heavy - it simply adds another layer of interest to a riding holiday in a spectacular location. She is currently working on some new ideas for the company.
